Care Parking

FAQs

Please find below frequently asked questions for Site Owners:

How do you operate?

ACPS totally manage the parking solution for your business. We take on the responsibility of erecting enforcement notices and agreeing a parking charge with you. We then patrol the car parking area, fix parking charge notices to contravening vehicles and collect payments.

You do not have to do anything. Your time is freed up to run your business and your car parking spaces are freed up for your genuine customers and employees.

What industry standards do you follow?

ACPS is an ethical company and we are keen to follow and better all the current industry regulations and recommendations. The DVLA guidelines are strictly followed and we are Data Protection Act registered.

What are the charges to motorists?

Our standard charge is £100 (reduced to £60 for early settlement) but this can be varied to suit the needs of each client.

I only have a small site can you still help me?

We operate with sites as small as 1 parking space. Our flexible systems and wide coverage means we can patrol parking areas from the smallest to largest.

What methods do you use to collect the parking charges?

Currently payment is by our secure online payment system, cheque or postal order. Our patrol wardens are not authorised to accept payment.

Will my details ever be disclosed to the motorist?

No. Nor will motorist’s details be revealed to clients. We operate within the strict guidelines of the Data Protection Act.

Are ‘Parking Charges’ legal?

Yes. Parking on private land without permission is trespass, a Civil offence. It is legal to levy a parking charge which has been notified (by our signs) to motorists. By parking on land we patrol you enter into a contract as indicated by our signage. Motorists do have a legal right of appeal and the parking charge notice gives full details of this.
