With pressure to find overhead reductions, we have been examining how savings of up to 80% of your security guarding costs can be achieved over 5 years without reducing effectiveness. With security technology costs tumbling, innovative companies like Anchor are focusing on offering a combination of CCTV and remote access control via our 24/7 monitoring centre, to replace the night time security guard.
Combine Anchor's remote monitoring capability with a first class response service via our GPS tracked fleet; you can expect a flexible low cost alternative to traditional guarding.
A large food producing site which employed on-site security personnel to control access for staff, visitors and contractors, our brief was to enhance, and simplify the security, as well as deliver substantial cost savings.
Anchor's proposal was to design and install a sophisticated integrated system incorporating CCTV cameras able to make time/dated recordings, together with a high degree of access control. The latter included traffic barriers and pedestrian turnstiles. We would utilise our monitoring centre to provide remote access to staff and contractors out of hours.
This would enable Directors of the company to achieve a cost saving as follows:
Annual saving £63,932
Andrew Harper, Anchor Group's CEO says "Without any doubt, we can put forward a proposal to clients where the costs of the systems are paid for in year one from the savings they make from paying their guarding contractor. There are huge financial and operational benefits to be had from using a visual monitoring service. Insurers like it and are often willing to discount policy costs, police like it because there is verification, and FD's like it because the numbers stack up."
