Anchor Steels itself with new contract win

01/12/2009

Corus is Europe's second largest steel producer with annual revenues of around £12 billion and a crude steel production of over 20 million tonnes. After a detailed tender and procurement process, Corus awarded Anchor a substantial 3 year contract at its Shotton Works in Deeside. The services provided include: Security Officers, Access Control, Dedicated Fire Team, Reception and Support staff. With a strong focus on Health & Safety, one of the most important roles will be First Aid response via the 4x4 vehicle provided as part of the contract.
Andrew Harper (CEO Anchor Group) says “I am proud of my organisation for working hard and winning this bid against stiff competition, and I think it reflects well on how we worked as a team, and, together with our robust and no nonsense approach, I strongly believe that we will achieve a true service delivery partnership with the team at Corus”
