Thanks go to Darren Chown (Security Manager at Liberty Shopping Centre in Romford) and his team, who dealt professionally when responding to help a seriously ill lady at their shopping centre.
Darren and his team made full use of their first aid skills by using the defibrillator unit, and attempting to resuscitate the lady, maintaining her heart beat until the paramedics arrived and took over.
Darren comments "We have had a visit from the London ambulance service who do our defibrillator training to see those involved in the incident and to down load the information from the defib - the comments from him was very encouraging by saying what he can see from the download everything was done correctly and we gave the female every chance of survival and we should be proud of ourselves"
Adrian Powell (Anchor Security Services MD) comments "Well done to all concerned - from managing the public, providing first aid, guiding in the ambulance and cleaning up afterwards, the team acted professionally and drew upon their training and knowledge of the centre - we are all proud of them"
