Head and shoulders above the rest!

03/12/2007

Following Anchors theme of trialling new technology, we have recently started to look at different methods of our Security Officers patrolling both car parks and Shopping Centres. Our Retail Operations Director has just arranged to trial the Segway at a number of our shopping centre locations.

James Wheeler commented "This is a new and very exciting time for Anchor to look at new technology. The Segway has already proved successful in other countries in a variety of security roles. We are interested in the Segway being used as a high visibility patrolling platform"

Recently the Segway was tested as Fosse Shopping Park in Leicester, where it drew a large amount of public interest. Once Anchor have finished the trials, they will review the feedback and see where this new idea could fit into our business model.
