As part of our innovation and flexible approach to working practices we have initiated a trial of ‘RoboCam’, a head mounted camera and recording device, which can be used if video evidence was required of an incident. The most recent trail took place at one of our centres in Oldham, during the start of the Christmas Parade.
Commenting on this trail our Retail Operations Director – James Wheeler stated that the Robocam system proved to be very useful in providing a visual and audio stream of critical events that took place during the event.
The local Police have asked for a copy of this footage, which is starting to provide an excellent and beneficial perspective of how our security teams deal with potential disturbances in and around the Shopping Centres.
