It's Silver for Darren

23/11/2007

Security Officer - Darren Chambers is shown receiving an Iceberg Award following a first aid incident in the Spindles Shopping Centre where an elderly lady was traveling up one of the esculators and turned around but fell backwards trapping her arm and leg, which resulted in some very deep cuts.

Darren was the first to repond and kept cool while dealing with the injured lady and her distraught husband.

Two other Anchor security staff arrived on the scene and helped deal with the incident until the Ambulance crew arrived on site.

The lady has since been back into the centre and thanked our staff personally and also written to the Centre Manager - Mike Flanagan thanking him also for the way in which our staff dealt with the matter very professionally.

Darren receives his award from James Wheeler - Director of Retail Operations
