Anchor Group Services is proud to support Fairbridge, a national youth charity offering individual support to young people aged 13 - 25 in some of the most disadvantaged urban areas throughout the UK. Fairbridge has a simple goal - to enable young people to develop the motivation, confidence and life skills they need to change their own lives. They combine long-term personal support with practical learning, helping young people to make a fresh start and see a brighter future for themselves.
Nearly 3,500 young people are helped by Fairbridge each year, learning to recognise their own potential.

The 'Don't Walk Away' campaign was set up by Steve Evans - a paramedic - to try and save the lives of children. Over the last few years, paramedics have seen an increase in the number of 999 calls involving unconscious teenagers due to alcohol. There are many occasions where the unconscious child has been abandoned by their friends and it was only good luck that the patient was found by somebody out walking their dog. There is an absolute need for these teenagers to be made aware of the danger of leaving their friends alone and the danger of choking due to vomit.
Anchor Group Services are pleased to be be associated with this campaign, providing funding for a DVD to be distributed to schools and youth centres to highlight the issues of teenagers and alcohol.
